THE ERA OF GOOD FEELINGS

The Era of Good feelings stretched from 1817-1825, following the War of 1812. It was a time of unprecedented political agreement due to the fact that the Federalist party embarrassingly failed in leadership during the War of 1812.

THE FIRST INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION

19TH CENTURY REFORM MOVEMENTS AND THE SECOND GREAT AWAKENING

Many reform movements such as the women's suffrage rights, the abolitionist movements, and the labor movements gained momentum during the 19th century which brought around lots of political changes. People of color gained many rights and some were freed from slavery as calls for abolition grew, women began fighting for the right to vote, and many new progressive policies became law.
